November 16 to 24, 2020

IMAGeAfter yet another successful Writers at Sea retreat in November 2019, T.M. Clark and I are have locked in the 2020 date that will sail to the South Pacific. The relaxing nature of cruising will give you plenty of time to work on your projects as well as meet like-minded writers. When in port, you’ll have the option of exploring the vibrant local culture, swim in crystal clear waters or stroll along pristine beaches lined with palm trees—the perfect way to inspire creativity and rejuvenate your spirit!

Suitable for writers with any degree of experience, this retreat includes workshops, writing sessions, feedback, and mentoring. There’ll also be time to relax and gaze out at the azure ocean and endless blue sky, take in a show or game of trivia, read by one of the many pools, or undertake an on-shore adventure.

A little about us:

Alli regularly presents workshops for Writers Victoria, Queensland Writers Centre and private writing groups, as well as providing mentoring and manuscript assessment. She is published by Harper Collins (Australia), Kensington Books (USA, UK, Canada), and her books have been translated into German and Serbian. Alli enjoys working with writers and helping them develop their craft and finding the gems that will make their stories and characters shine.

T.M. Clark has taught from kindergarten, through schools in Australia and PNG, and adult community groups, including libraries and the Queensland Writers Centre. Published by HaperCollins, Wombat Books and Macmillan Education. Tina loves the writing process, but had to learn to ‘like’ the editing part. This has helped in her mentoring of others who don’t really love the editing stage either. Tina is the director of the CYA Conference in Brisbane.

RETREAT COST: $1200 AUD per person (cabin cost is separate – see below)

RETREAT INCLUDES: All workshops, personal development, a ten-page critique of your manuscript and one-page synopsis, a one-on-one one hour mentoring session with Alli or Tina and the opportunity to talk about books and learn various aspects of writing craft  for a whole week!
